2013

2013 marks 100 Years of Public Education at Nambucca Heads Public School on the present site at Ridge Street Nambucca Heads and 25 Years since the Bi-Centennial Time Capsule was buried.

How good would it be to have a booklet with every class photo year by year or every staff photo year by year. Plus a record of how the school has developed over the last 100 Years on the present site in Ridge Street. You can help be part of this publication. The planned date for release of such a booklet is around the June Long Weekend in 2013.

Why Then ?

Because in 1912 the DET acquired the land for the present site of the school .By June of 1913 the first class was formed. In 2012 / 2013 the school will have been on the Ridge Street site for 100 Years.

There is also a time capsule that was buried in 1988 and is marked to be opened in 1913.

We would like to compile a book about the history of Nambucca Heads Public School to commemorate this event. To make this publication we  need stories , personal recollections of events and photographs. Any photographs lent will be returned or copy them and e.mail or postal mail them to us. e.g. Class Photos ,Staff Photos , Excursions ,Special Events  and  Personal Recollections which can be 1 or 2 sentences or longer. Every piece of information is important.
